Tragedy in Italy. A 1-year-old girl was found dead in a car in the Cecchignola area, south of Rome. According to the Italian media, the father, who is a police officer, left the house in the morning to go to work and took the child with him to take him to the kindergarten.
His wife was supposed to pick up the girl at noon, but when she arrived at the doors of the nursery, the educators explained that the girl had not been there during the day.
As the girl's father worked a lot near the nursery, the mother, coming out of the garden, spotted her husband's parked car with the baby in it.
Frightened, she acted towards her and with the help of a passerby they broke the glass and took out the child, but it was too late. The rescue teams went to the scene and found the death of the 1-year-old.
In Italy, in the last 25 years there have been 11 cases of the so-called "forgotten child syndrome".
