Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu has called claims that his country's military is committing genocide in Gaza "anti-Semitic lies."
Netanyahu said during his speech at the United Nations that Palestinians are not suffering from hunger. According to him, Gazans consume 3,000 calories per person per day.
"Even the United Nations admitted that 87% of food aid has been hijacked by Hamas, which sells it to finance its war machine."
Netanyahu said that "anti-Semitic lies" are not without consequences, but have caused hatred towards Jews around the world, in some cases resulting in fatal attacks against them.
Netanyahu blamed the Palestinians, saying they are the ones who have not accepted a two-state solution. According to him, not only Hamas, but also the Palestinian Authority rejects the existence of the Israeli state.
"You say you believe in a two-state solution. There's a problem with that, the Palestinians themselves don't believe in this solution. They've been offered the possibility of a state many times, and they've refused. When we gave them territory, they used it to attack us. In fact, they have a Palestinian state, in Gaza. And what did they do with it? They turned it into a base to launch rockets at us," Netanyahu said, among other things.
