Rare Earth Minerals Agreement, Trump Speaks: I Told Zelensky to Sign, Because Moscow...

US President Donald Trump, regarding the US-Ukraine agreement on rare earth minerals, has stated that he told the Ukrainian leader to sign the agreement because it would be in the best interest of their country, as Russia is stronger than them.

"I told him it would be a great thing if we could make a deal" on minerals "and he signed it, because Russia is much stronger," Trump said during an interview with Newsnation.

Asked if the minerals deal would "hinder" Russian leader Vladimir Putin, Trump said: "Well, that might be the case."
