'There was a gas leak', details from the explosion that took the lives

The explosion at the fish farm in Preveza took the lives of 2 employees, an Albanian and a Greek, and left another citizen injured.

The president of the job center in Preveza reacted to the serious incident and said that there was a gas leak before the explosion.

" There was a gas leak. The gas had a strong smell and that's how the explosion was caused ," he told Prothotema.gr.

The injured employee was initially sent to the Kanalaki Health Center and is expected to be sent to the Ioannina hospital. The explosion occurred under unclear circumstances while the two unfortunate workers were trying to do electric welding.

In fact, the information says that the body of the 39-year-old Greek, Gerasimos Faturou, was found cut in two. Everything happened within a few minutes, while the force of the explosion caused residents around the area to quickly leave their homes.
