As the political situation in France appears difficult, President Emmanuel Macron has said he will remain in office until 2027.

With this statement, Macron has dismissed speculation that he will face pressure to resign if his government loses a confidence vote next month.

"The mandate that has been entrusted to me by the French citizens and no one else is a mandate that I will serve until the end," the French head of state assured, during a press conference he gave with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

Meanwhile, a vote of confidence is expected in early September for Prime Minister Bayrou, who will certainly not have the necessary numbers, at least from what political parties, especially the opposition, have declared in official statements.

We recall that for several years, France has been facing a political crisis, due to the numbers possessed by parliamentary forces.
