The constitution of the Kosovo Assembly fails again / LVV proposes Donika

The constitution of the Kosovo Assembly has failed again.

Chairman Avni Dehari asked the LVV to propose a candidate for speaker of parliament, the vote for which was held in an open form.

The winning party of the elections, the Vetëvendosje Movement, initially proposed Albulena Haxhiu for the position of Speaker of Parliament.

Albulena Haxhiu failed to be elected speaker of parliament.

Glauk Konjufca then proposed Donika Gërvalla for speaker of parliament, after Haxhiu failed to be elected.

Donika Gërvalla failed to be elected as Speaker of Parliament, as she did not receive the necessary 61 votes. She received 57 votes in favor, 56 against, and 3 abstained.

After this, Dehari adjourned the session, which will continue on August 22.
