The grandson of doctor Isuf Kalo, who passed away a day ago, Parparim Kalo has told about the long battle with the disease that took his life.

In an interview for Panorama TV, Kalo said that the doctor had been suffering from liver cancer for a long time, while in the last months his health condition worsened.

According to Përparim Kalo, even though Isuf Kalo received proper medical treatment in Norway and Albania, he still failed to win the battle with the disease.

Skip : In the last year, she began to progress, metastases of cancer in the liver. There is some aggressiveness in the body that caught them. The deterioration came in the last year and the last months.

Has he received appropriate medical treatment?

Kalo : He divides his life between Albania and Denmark. He was a resident of Denmark. He had the right to stay, he received services there, but also here. Even personal knowledge as a doctor, he consulted with the best doctors in the field. He has not lacked the care of himself, but also of the medical staff, wherever he has been. These are the irreversible paths of fate, interrupting life at a certain moment. He lived his life as a free, mature man, full of achievements.

He has revealed what some of the advice his uncle always gave him were. Progress Kalo said that the well-known doctor advised him to be honest and work more willingly to achieve the things he wants.

"It was understood that he was very busy and the visits were short, so we understood that it was a very busy job with great responsibility, but it was an honor to be among the elite of doctors who serve the state regardless of the times we judge. Honesty has been first and second the will that everything is achieved with work and love for people, these were part of the guide, but they are things that cannot be consumed in an interview. We talked about politics, sports and many things because his interests were wide", he said.

Gjithashtu, Përparim Kalo tregon se xhaxhai i tij ishte njeri dashamirës që i pëlqente arti ku edhe tregoi një histori që kishte ndodhur para disa vitesh.

“Ishte dashamirësia, të fillojmë nga ana njerëzore, për t’i trajtuar njerëzit me dashuri maksimale e dyta ishte aftësia e analizës, ai dinte të analizonte jo vetëm librat ose filmat, ti i shikoje në një drejtim dhe mendoje që e kishte kuptuar por ai të jepte një panoramë krejt tjetër, gjetjet që ishin mahnitëse dhe unë e kam konstatuar në shumë raste kur diskutonim për librat ose për artin dhe kur bëheshin konferenca mjekësore ai donte t’i shoqëronte me art. Kur u bë drejtor i qendrës së Akreditimit të Shërbimeve Mjekësore më kërkoi një pikturë që ta sillja në podium dhe unë ia mora ish dekanit në fakultetin e Arteve të Bukura dhe i morëm një pikturë atij dhe ai u magjeps nga mënyra si e lidhi me konferencën”, deklaroi ai.

Përparim Kalo tha se amaneti i xhaxhait të tij ishte që trupi të prehej në vendlindjen e tij në Shqipëri. Ndër të tjera, Kalo tha se xhaxhai i tij i ka ushqyer gjithmonë me dashurinë për vendlindjen.

Përparim Kalo: Amaneti i fundit ishte që trupi i tij të vinte në Shqipëri. Ka pasur një dashuri të madhe për vendlindjen. Na ka çuar shpesh, megjithëse jemni lindur në qytete të tjera. Na e ka ushqyer këtë, kemi një shtëpi në fshat, por pavarësisht se nuk e kemi në pronësinë tonë, të gjithë vendasit atje e njohin si shtëpia e stërgjyshërve tanë dhe na japin akses që të shkojmë dhe të bëjmë piknik me fëmijët tanë.
