The 62-year-old killed his mother a day ago: I killed 2 thousand people, no one

"I killed 2,000 people, no one believes me, I killed my mother and they believed me", this is how 62-year-old Arsen Dani, who the day before massacred his mother Gjylije Dani, inside the apartment where they lived in the neighborhood "Beslidhja" of the city of Lezha.

The 62-year-old has shown significant mental health problems, while being held in the detention rooms of the Lezha police station.

The serious incident happened at noon yesterday around 2:30 PM inside an apartment on the fourth floor of a building in the 'Besëlidhja' neighborhood near Gjergj Fishta boulevard.

Former teacher Gjylije Dani, 88 years old, was shot several times with a knife in the back by her 62-year-old son Arsen Dani. She died instantly from her injuries, while it was the neighbors who heard the noise and informed the police about the incident.

Arsen Dani was handcuffed without resistance and the cutting tool (knife) with which he committed the murder was seized. Dani had mental health problems, but they had not been problematic for neighbors or the community.

He had initially argued with his mother at noon on Monday under unclear circumstances and then shot her with a knife.
