He killed his wife with a knife, what the American said to the Police is

Shocked by the crime he committed, 57-year-old American Brendon Saporito has expressed remorse for the murder of his wife.

The event that shook the city of Shkodra on Friday afternoon hides the strong arguments that the tourist couple had been having for a long time.

In his testimony, the suspected perpetrator said he was drunk and the situation escalated after the argument and insults that his 54-year-old wife Sandra Saporito had launched at him.

Under the influence of alcohol, the perpetrator explained that he took the knife and stabbed his wife several times, leaving her dead on the spot.

According to him, he immediately repented and attempted to end his life by cutting his wrists.

After the incident, he was escorted to the police station in handcuffs.

On their social media profiles, the American couple posted photos immediately after arriving in Albania on March 27.

They have visited several cities such as Tirana, Himara and most recently Shkodra, where they were housed in an apartment near the historic Gjuhadol neighborhood.
