18-year-old Axel Hoxhaj, the author of the murder of 20-year-old Stiven Toshkesi, has surrendered to the Tirana Police, an event that happened two days ago in the capital. 

The news has been confirmed by the police authorities of the capital. The other perpetrator of the incident, 18-year-old Ensi Maze, was arrested on the day of the crime.

"The suspected author of the incident that took place on 18.04.2023, where ST citizen lost his life, surrenders. As a result of the pressure of continuous checks by the Police services and thanks to continuous negotiations with the family members, today, at the DVP Tirana, he surrendered citizen AH, 18 years old, resident in Tirana.

This citizen, on 18.04.2023, around 00:15, on "Skënder Sallaku" street, in cooperation with citizen EM, 18 years old, (arrested a few hours after the event), hit citizen ST, 20 years old, with a cutting tool. who passed away as a result. The materials were passed on to the Prosecutor's Office of the Judicial District of Tirana, for further procedural actions," said the police announcement.

How the event happened:

Ensi Maze and Axel Hoxha had ambushed Steven Toshkes at the moment when he was returning home from work and immediately stabbed him several times in the back, causing serious injuries. The 20-year-old was transported to the hospital, but could not survive his injuries.

Sources indicate that the cause of the quarrel was a girl, a classmate of Axel Hoxha, who was the girlfriend of Steven Toshkes.

Hoxha had harassed the 20-year-old's girlfriend and the latter had beaten her about two weeks ago on Elbasan Street. But, he took revenge two nights ago by ambushing them with his friend and they killed him. The event happened around 00:35, on "4 Dëshmorët" street, near the "Partizani" gymnasium.
