The police of Korça have provided more detailed information about the amount of drugs seized yesterday evening at the border point of Kapshtica. 

Official sources inform that within the coded operation "Itinerary" the citizens GC, 54 years old, resident of Ghimpajti and DB, 36 years old, resident of Bucharest, Romania, were arrested.

They tried to traffic 118 kilograms of cannabis to Greece with a trailer vehicle.

"Based on the risk analysis and the selective controls, at the exit of the Republic of Albania, the Border Police has moved to the second line, for a more detailed control, the Camper type vehicle of the brand "Fiat", with the driver, a citizen of GC, and the passenger, a citizen. DB  During the detailed check, also using the anti-drug dog of the Police, 79 packages of suspected cannabis sativa narcotics, with a total weight of 118 kilograms, were found and seized as material evidence in the luggage area. it is stated in the Police announcement

Sources indicate that the 54-year-old Romanian, accompanied by his partner, who is also a Romanian citizen, has declared to the police that he is a businessman and was in Albania for vacation.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Korçë Judicial District Court for further action.
