A serious incident occurred the day before, when 25-year-old Xhuana Nikolli from Lezha passed away at the Mother Teresa Hospital Center due to self-poisoning with photoxine.

A day after the incident, her family filed a report at Police Station No. 2 in Tirana against her husband, claiming that he was exercising violence against the young woman.

Signs of violence were also found on her body.

Meanwhile, Tirana Police have declared her husband wanted.

According to information, the couple was married in June 2025, but separated three months ago due to conflicts between them.

Journalist Glidona Daci, invited to the show "Rudina", said that the girl was found in serious condition by her friend, who then called the emergency services. According to the journalist, the 25-year-old's friend had testified before the blue uniforms that Xhuana Nikolli was systematically raped by her partner.

The journalist further adds that she has learned that the deceased also left a letter, which is in the hands of investigators, who will also examine the girl's mobile phone to learn more about this tragic event.

"I learned from the communications I had with police station number 2 that the girl also left a letter. So she wrote a letter, which is in the hands of the investigators, the latter will also examine the mobile phone through communications to see if there were other repeated cases of violence."

"If there were other cases where the girl had previously expressed concern about doing something to herself that would cause her to commit suicide, and to whom did she express this concern? Her friend has indicated that she was systematically raped," said journalist Daci.
