A police officer has been arrested by the Police Supervision Agency after, while performing his duty at the Bllata Border Crossing Point in Dibër, he is suspected of having physically clashed and committed arbitrary actions against a citizen.

"His arrest was made possible after the initial investigative actions created reasonable suspicions based on evidence and facts that the police officer, on 02.07.2025 at around 01:30 at the Bllate Border Crossing Point, Dibër, while performing his duty, physically clashed and committed arbitrary actions to the detriment of citizen FK, a resident of Dibër," the police statement said.

The arrested officer is a VA police officer, with the duty of N/Specialist in the Investigation and Implementation of Supplementary Measures and Territory Control Section at the Dibër Border Police Commissariat, and is accused of the criminal offenses of "Abuse of office" and "Committing arbitrary actions".

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Dibër.
