The founder of Top Media, Dritan Hoxha , has been decorated with the title of "Grand Master" by the President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj. 

This tribute from the head of state to the visionary who transformed the concept of visual media in Albania, comes 15 years after his death.

As an unwavering dreamer and visionary, courageous in creativity, innovative and passionate, Begaj described him as the founder of Top Media, who managed to create an unrepeatable work in terms of dimensions.

"The man who worked day and night to realize the project of his life, he deserved the new surname by which he was known as Tani i Topi", said Begaj.

Appreciating Top Channel as the television that had been missing, Begaj recalls the first years of the rise of Albanian television, which was distinguished not only by high technology, but above all, by the quality of programs for all age groups of our society, mission, which continues today as well.

"Dear family members of the Hoxha family, Dear journalists and employees of the Top Channel media, Dear participants! Today I have the pleasure to honor with the title of Grand Master, one of the most popular characters of the Albanian visual media, Mr. Dritan Hoxha. Bold in creativity, unwavering dreamer and visionary, innovative and passionate, he managed to create an unrepeatable work in terms of dimensions. The man who worked day and night to realize the project of his life, he deserved the new nickname by which he was known as Tani i Topi. His example is indicative of how private enterprise is transformed into a public good. How the Albanian can manage to be successful even in his own country. How success in business can be accompanied by generosity and philanthropy.

Dritan was one of those few people who see the future now. The media that he created was the television that was sorely missing from the screens of Albanians. It was distinguished not only by high technology, but above all, by the quality of programs for all age groups of our society.

Now i Topi set the high standards of visual media, supported hundreds of young men and women to realize their talents and created new concepts that raised the level of information in Albania.

He had the foresight to spread the news and the Albanian language through the digital package, thus contributing to the preservation and heritage of the Albanian language even among our diaspora. Today his legacy is not only entrepreneurial but also an important part of our media heritage.

Uroj dhe besoj që këtë trashëgimi të vazhdoni ta çoni përpara Ju, familja e tij me përgjegjësi dhe krenari”-ishte fjala e presidentit Begaj.

Në ceremoninë emocionuese nga fjalët vlerësuese të kreut të shtetit, drejtuesja e Top Channel, Lori Hoxha, në fjalën e saj falënderuese shprehu me bindje të fortë, se vlerat që Top Media përcjell prej vitesh, do të ruhen me fanatizëm, nder dhe përgjegjësi të plotë, ashtu sikurse Dritan Hoxha e ideoi.

Për njeriun e pakapshëm që ishte dhe për dëshirën që pati për të ndërtuar një media, e cila edhe sot jeton me frymën dhe vizionin që ai la. E vetmja media shqiptare që vazhdon e mbahet me dëshirën për të bërë gjëra të bukura, e për t’i shkuar sa më afër të vërtetës në çdo gjë që bën.  Media e cila ruan me dinjitet themelet duke vrapuar drejt së ardhmes pa frikë dhe pa kompromise. E vetmja media e trashëguar te brezi i ri. Ai brez që e mësoi shqipen të pacenuar sepse Dritan Hoxha besoi fort se e ardhmja është shqip, dhe ajo s’duhet prekur. Media e cila çdo ditë ka mbi tetë prodhime shqip, e çdo mbrëmje flitet shqip. Media që e ruan edhe kur humb gjuhën dhe trashëgimin.

Media, e cila lufton sot lojën e pabarabartë të konkurrencës në audiencë në Top Channel dhe në shpërndaje të gjuhës shqipe në Digitalb, një tjetër vlerë kombëtare që përcjell gjuhën shqipe të çdo shqiptar. Media që shtoi një treg që nuk ekzistonte dhe i mundësoi vetes mbijetesë, duke mos cenuar në asnjë moment interesin publik, por duke e pasur parësor. media që shkëlqen që furnizohet vetëm me punë dhe dinjitet.  Media e paprekur nga baltosje e vazhdueshme. E vërteta është shumë e vërtetë.  Im atë ishte i vërtetë, Top Media është e vërtetë dhe kjo ndihet, prandaj shkëlqen. E njohin shqiptarët të vërtetën, e besojnë dhe e ruajnë. Unë e di sepse e shoh sesi përkthehet në audiencë. Sa herë i largohesh të vërtetës, ajo ndihet. Jam e lumtur që Top Channel ka standard Tanin, limitet që i vendosi, që ne vetëm do na duhet ti ruajmë dhe t’i përshtatim. Më lejoni të shtoj diçka. Im atë nuk la pas vetëm veprën, por familjen dhe zonjën e tij. Nuk më është dhënë rasti deri tani por do doja ta falënderoja time më, për punën dhe luftën krah tim eti, e më pas për t’i ruajtur atij familjen dhe vizionin.
