Rama decorates Tedi Papavrami with the "Star of the Officer of the Supreme Order of the Eagle"

Prime Minister Edi Rama decorated Albanian violinist, translator and intellectual Tedi Papavrami with the “Star of the Officer of the Supreme Order of the Eagle”, on behalf of the President of the Republic. During the ceremony, Rama described Papavrami as “a shining star in the constellation of European Albania”.

In his speech, the Prime Minister praised not only Papavram's extraordinary artistic talent, but also his modesty, intellectual engagement and multidimensional contribution to Albanian and European culture. Rama emphasized that this decoration is not a formal appreciation, but a well-deserved tribute to his figure and work.

"It must be said that in direct proportion to his modesty and beyond his extraordinary talent, Tedi is also lucky. I am explaining myself starting from the bottom, I am particularly happy for this decoration with the highest order of the Republic, although it was given last December, it happens to materialize today and this ceremony joins the pillar as a coincidence to the series of cultural events.

In this country, decorations and titles have been given for about 30 years for weddings, for deaths, and many without reason, while you can be sure that this is not your story. You know what it means to become part of an order and to dress in the chivalry of the republic and you have deserved it, but Albania, until recently, did not have this chivalry order, which we reborn as a supreme order, and it was the desire and obligation for you to be ranked among the first knights of this order for your virtuosity but also for the fruitful diversity of your intellectual and very dignified engagement. When the 3 new orders were activated on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Order of Skanderbeg, you were involved after a very serious process and could not be evaluated otherwise than with the High Order , "said Rama.

Rama emphasized that this decoration is not a formal appreciation, but a well-deserved honor for his figure and work.

"This order is for Ted the translator, Ted the creator, actor, researcher, for Ted the Albanian of Europe and the world. I would speak at length about Ted, but I will close by saying that I consider myself lucky to know you and to have known you since you were little and to have seen you grow up. The star you receive today is a star that shines even for those whom history leaves behind. Allow me, on behalf of the President of the Republic, to decorate you with the "Supreme Officer of the Eagle", he said.

The ceremony took place within the framework of cultural activities and was considered by Rama as a symbolic moment to honor one of the most prominent personalities of Albanian art and culture.
