SPAK requests the suspension of the investigation for the father of Arbë

The Special Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office has requested the dismissal of the case against Selim Çekaj, who was arrested in April 2021 after 49 kg of cocaine were found in his container.

Selim Çekaj was released from prison in October 2021, while the investigation into this case is still ongoing, but the Prosecutor of the case requests the dismissal. The decision of the Special Court is now awaited, whether it will agree to close the investigations here or not.

We remind you that Selim Çekaj is the father of Arbën Çekaj, who is sentenced to 14 years in prison after 3 years ago he was caught with 613 cocaine in the warehouses of his banana company 'Arbri Garden' in Maminas inside a container.
