A 24-year-old man from Kosovo, identified as Endrit Ademi, died this morning in Milan after falling from the third floor of a building while working on a facade intervention.

Ademi had been living in Italy for 6 years, while his parents and one of his brothers live in Kosovo. Another brother lives in Austria.

"He was a good guy, a friend of mine," said a fellow countryman of Endrit, after the tragedy that happened before his eyes.

How did the incident happen?

According to initial reports, at around 9:30 a.m. today, the young Kosovar fell from a scaffolding. The 24-year-old was performing routine maintenance work on the third floor of an apartment building.

For reasons that are still unclear, he slipped and fell from a height of approximately 12 meters, dying on the spot.

The Milan Public Prosecutor's Office has launched investigations to clarify the incident, while the body will undergo an autopsy and all necessary checks to verify the worker's safety conditions.
