The head of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, has addressed the police officers in protest in outrage, after they obstructed the march of protesters towards the Ministry of Interior.
Bardhi said the protest was peaceful, and asked the police why they provoked the protesters by enforcing orders that he considered illegal.
"Who do you take orders from?! Was it a peaceful protest? Why are you blocking the road?! Why are you provoking?! Do you have a law or are you only following illegal orders?! Why are you blocking the road? Go arrest those who have robbed Albanians, don't arrest citizens who are protesting against corruption ," said Bardhi.
Bardhi's reaction came a few minutes after tensions at the protest, where police prevented protesters from marching towards the Ministry of Interior, dispersing the crowd with water cannons.
At one point, protesters threw Molotov cocktails, while police responded with tear gas.
