The disappearance for 20 days without a trace of two 46-year-olds in Saranda, Leonard Thodhori and Fatmir Sulovarit alias Krasniqi, and the suspicion that they were killed and buried in Konispol, has brought back to the scene the 32-year-old mystery that covers the area in which the state seems to has "surrendered" in the face of traffic crime.

Missing corpses, killed and buried headless, burnt tools after crimes and rivers of drugs. This is the history of the area with 13 villages, 5 of which have been the object of organized crime for years.

3 roads lead to the villages of Konispol Municipality, Butrint, Qafa e Sorone and Ura e Krane. This area is connected to Europe through sea and land routes in a wide area, thus facilitating the illegal activity of criminal drug trafficking groups, clandestines and vehicles.

DISAPPEARED AND MURDERED WITHOUT ANY AUTHOR

The history of the macabre murders in the area begins in December 1991, when the former operative of "Brisk", 30-year-old Robert Shero, was found dead in Qafë i Likojani, between Konispol and Igoumenica. He was allegedly poisoned as worms came out of his mouth and his body was abandoned at the border. This murder remains unsolved even today.

In August 1998, Saranda police officer  Vladimir Bejdo , 30, was executed with a Kalashnikov in the place called "Kataeto". Bejdo's body was found a week later hidden in a well on the Greek-Albanian border, specifically in Sajadhë, Igoumenica. This murder remains unsolved even today.

On October 8, 2005, the body of 45-year-old  Zihni Myderizi was found in "Vasilikua" Konispol . His body was missing his head. The event is suspected to have the motive of laundering accounts. The victim is buried headless and since that date neither the head nor the perpetrators have been found. Investigations have been carried out by many police departments, and investigations have even been extended to Greece, but without success.

Në 3 nëntor 2005 zhduket në malet në kufirin greko-shqiptar, 33-vjeçari Armond Ndreca nga Reçi i Mirditës. Ai ishte nisur me një grup personash për të trafikuar drogë dhe dyshohet se gjatë transportit për shkak të konflikteve, është ekzekutuar. Trupi i tij nuk është gjetur dhe ai rezulton i zhdukur.

Në 17 qershor 2015, një “BMË” X5 futet mes njerëzve në shëtitoren e Sarandës. Ridvan Lamaj po pinte një kafe, kur nga njerëzit e automjetit ftohet për t’u futur brenda e më pas rrëmbehet. Nga ky moment, familja e 37-vjeçarit Lamaj, baba i dy fëmijëve, nuk di më asgjë për të. Hera e fundit që është fiksuar nga kamerat mjeti i rrëmbyesve është në afërsi të fshatit Mursi të Bashkisë, Konispol. Lamaj dyshohet të jetë groposur në zonë ose të jetë hedhur në det.

Në 9 maj 2016 në Igumenicë, iu pre koka 26-vjeçarit Bledar Terpollari, i cili sipas informacioneve frekuentonte edhe zonën e Konispolit në Sarandë. Shkak ishte prishja e pazareve të drogës. Koka e viktimës nuk u gjet kurrë.

Bledar Terpollari

Prej 9 tetorit 2016 rezulton i zhdukur 30-vjeçari nga Ksamili, Leonidha Bilero. Familjarët e tij atëherë ngritën dyshime se djali mund të jetë përdorur për trafik të lëndëve narkotike. Ksamili rezulton në kufi me territorin e Bashkisë Konispol.

Në 6 qershor 2021 ekzekutohet pranë banesës së tij në Ksamil 40-vjeçari Gramoz Mema. Mjeti i krimit, tip “Ford” u gjet disa ditë më pas i djegur në “Kataeto” të Bashkisë Konispol. Mjeti rezultoi i vjedhur në Greqi. Ngjarja rezulton ende e pazbardhur.

Gramoz Mema

Since December 14, 2021,  Fatjon Doda  from Shëndelli village, Konispol Municipality, today 24 years old, is missing. His sister reported him missing in January 2022. One of the tracks investigated is that of the young man's involvement in land or sea drug traffic to Greece./News24
