At a time when Albania has entered the hectic week of the May 11 parliamentary elections, the Vice President of the United States of America, James David Vance, has come with a message that suggests that he is addressed to politicians in Albania.
Vance's message was published on the official website of the United States Embassy in Tirana, through which he urges our lawmakers to believe in democracy and not be afraid of their citizens, even when they express views that they disagree with.
"Believing in democracy means understanding that each of our citizens has wisdom and a voice. We must not be afraid of our citizens, even when they express views that disagree with their leaders," JD Vance's message reads.
Meanwhile, we emphasize that this message from the US Vice President comes just a few days away from the May 11 elections, when Albanian citizens will head to the ballot boxes to express their will and choose the political force they want to govern them for the next 4 years.
