40-year-old Enkelejda Limaj, Danaj lived in a hell with beatings, abuses and insults, the Greek media continue to describe the tragic story of the Albanian killed in Athens by her ex-husband Eduard Danaj. The forensic report on the body of the Vlonjana describes 15 stab wounds all over the body.
Enkelejda met Eduard when she was 17 years old and both left Vlora for a better future in Greece. At the age of 19, her first daughter was born, but according to the victim's testimony given on May 7, when she last denounced her ex-husband for violence, she has shown that they never got along well as a couple.
He threatened me, abused me many times, annoyed me. I reported some incidents, but not all,' the 40-year-old testified.
She declared to the police on May 7 that her ex-husband has been watching her for a week with a car outside her house. Enkelejda stated that he approached him and told him what he was doing here, but he beat him and told him that he would burn him.
The perpetrator of the crime told the police that a photo on Facebook led him to the decision to hatch the plan to kill him. He claims to have seen Enkleid showing photos with another man and decided to end it all.
'I couldn't bear to see her boyfriend. He was driving my car and I was working two jobs", the Albanian told the police.
"I thought about it very carefully and decided the night before. I knew what time she goes to the store where she works and without wasting time I took a knife from home and went to the place where I knew she would go to work. As soon as I saw her coming, I approached her and said "what happened, are you okay, let's go up to the house" and she replied "we have no business going home". These were her last words, when she was attacked and stabbed until she was left dead on the spot. Then I left there on foot, I went for two hours to sleep in a hotel and when I left there I looked for alcohol and started wandering the streets", said the 50-year-old.
The crime scene was captured by security cameras and it was the couple's daughter who told the police which cameras had filmed the incident at the scene of the attack.
An indicator of this apathy of the author is the fact that 4 hours before the murder he went and bought beer and appeared next to this bin throwing a bag of beer bottles, while after the crime he threw away his mobile phone to avoid being discovered by the authorities. Witnesses in the Greek media say that the couple argued, Edward broke the beer bottles while Enkeleida did everything to save herself.
Earlier, her family members witnessed Eduard Denaj's barbaric violence against Enkelejda, even when she was pregnant, her ex-husband put her head in a bucket of bleach. On Monday, May 20, the Albanian will appear in court for intentional homicide and possession of weapons without a permit.
