The head of Criminal Lawyers, Saimir Vishaj, held a statement for the media near the premises of SPAK, regarding the violence committed yesterday against lawyer Sokol Mêngjesi in the area of the former block in the capital.

Vishaj said that the state has been hit, while he praised Mêngjes as one of the best lawyers in the justice system in Albania.

" When a lawyer is affected, the state is affected. Just like when a police officer is touched, everyone should stand up for a service like advocacy. There is no justice without a lawyer. It is such a beautiful and difficult mission. We have a silence of the organs, maybe they keep their eyes on the sky. I tell the members of the state institutions to pray with us for our friend to come out of the coma. They wanted to kill one of the best lawyers that the justice system has had ,' said Vishaj, among other things.

He also spoke about his health condition: " Our colleague Sokol Mêngjesi, currently, with tears in his eyes, I say that he is in a serious state of intubation, even though the doctors have put him in a coma due to the serious injuries he has in the confusion of the brain, we hope that he will come out of the state of coma ".

Vishaj said that " every week we have an abused lawyer, we have abused judges, we have abused prosecutors. People should understand that they provide service and service to one party does not mean that it harms the interests of the other party" .

The head of the Criminal Lawyers said that this is an attempted murder and that there are no political nuances. He was raped because of his duty.

"This is an attempted murder in the line of duty, according to Sokoli Măngjesi and I want to say to all those skeptics who relate the event politically, giving it political nuances: The event has nothing to do with either the left or the right, but the event is because of his functional duty because of the civil process he follows".
