Socialist MP Sara Mila has reacted to photos being shared on social media over the last 24 hours, which show a drastic change in her appearance, from 2025 when she was running for MP and now in 2026, when she is part of Parliament.

"In these 24 hours, I haven't just seen a few posts, I've seen once again how easily you can strip a woman of her public dignity, turning her body into news and her silent struggle into ridicule. Yes, I am in those photos, as I was and as I am."

"Yes, I have been very happy for every kilogram lost these days. This is because for me it was not just aesthetics, it was health, it was strength, it was a decision to no longer leave myself behind," says the MP, addressing those who have insulted her on social networks.

Sara Mila emphasizes that all she has done is just insulin treatment. According to the socialist MP, as soon as she learned that insulin resistance is treatable, she immediately decided to receive the necessary treatment and the physical transformation is the reason for it.

She warns that she is waiting for the law to take charge of what she calls "online madness" against women and girls who dare.

"Today, something hurts me more: that a part of our society is still so poor in mind that it thinks a woman's weight is a political weapon. Some, especially some ignorant men, probably even with public influence, think they can get away with commenting on your body," she says, among other things.
