Last night was not calm at all in Saranda, where the Police forces have landed in action to clarify the disappearance of 46-year-olds Leonard Thodhori and Fatmir Sulovari alias Fatmir Krasniqi, where there has been no trace of them for 18 days. The action of the blue uniforms came a few hours after the protest of the families of the two missing persons at the police station of Saranda.
Sources close to the investigative group indicate that Fatmir Sulovari and Leonard Thodhori were allegedly discovered in the village of Vrinë, near the area of Butrint in Konispol. It is learned that there are strong indications that the two abducted persons were killed and their bodies were hidden in the village of Vrîna.
Yesterday evening, FNSH officers surrounded the Vrina area and escorted dozens of people to the police station in Saranda. Sources indicate that among the escorted persons there is also an individual who has information on the fate of the two missing persons, Fatmir Sulovari known as "Koçole" and Leonard Thodhori.
It is learned that initially he indicated that the two missing persons were executed in the village of Vrîna. However, he interrupted his confession to the police, refusing to tell the exact place where the dead bodies were hidden.
Meanwhile, the police of Vlora were able to discover the Benz-Mercedes in the village of Nivicë in Himara, which was used to take one of the missing, Fatmir Sulovar, hostage. The vehicle was discovered in the premises of a warehouse, while it was washed in the car wash and painted with another paint, different from the first one.
A tactic used by the perpetrators in order to prevent the police from tracking down the perpetrators' car. No blood stains were found inside the car through naked eye observation by the police. Experts from Tirana will examine the car for biological and dactyloscopic traces.
It is thought that the two missing persons knew the kidnappers, since in some footage of the movement of their vehicle, Fatmir Sulovari can be seen sitting in the front seat holding his hand on the ceiling. From the film footage, it is difficult to distinguish the driver and the passengers behind, but it is known that the license plates of the vehicle are Greek, stolen in Tirana.
The hopes of the police and the prosecutor's office for finding the bodies are based on the cooperation of one of the persons who is being kept under escort, who has refused to speak even though he is an individual who has detailed information.
