"I was cleaning it"/ 48-year-old man injured with gunshot wound in

A 48-year-old man ended up in the emergency room this evening with gunshot wounds to his body.

The injured man, who drove himself to the hospital, shot himself. 

It is suspected that the injury was accidental with the weapon he possessed with a permit. The 48-year-old is receiving medical assistance at the QSUT, while his life is out of danger. 

Police announcement:

On 25.05.2025, at around 21:20, citizen AK, 48 years old, resident of Fresk, presented himself for treatment at the hospital with a gunshot wound. He stated that while cleaning the firearm, a pistol, which he possesses with a permit, he accidentally injured his leg, which is not life-threatening. The investigation team is working to fully clarify the circumstances of the case.
