The former director of the National Anti-Corruption Agency (NACA), Mirlinda Karçanaj, has appeared before SPAK to enforce the mandatory reporting measure.
A few days ago, the Supreme Court lifted the 'house arrest' measure, imposing an obligation to appear twice a month.
She was under house arrest, but the Supreme Court eased her security measures, leaving her under obligation to appear.
Karçanaj is among the 8 defendants in the scandal involving the AKSHI tenders, who are accused of being part of a structured criminal group, manipulating tender procedures, favoring companies and exerting pressure on competing operators.
They were charged with the following criminal offenses: illegal competition through violence, illegal deprivation of liberty, violation of equality in tenders, organized criminal group, and money laundering.
