Border controls between Albania and Kosovo are lifted

Starting from May 1, 2025, border controls for vehicles and passengers of the Republic of Kosovo and Albania will be lifted again.

This decision is valid for vehicles with Kosovo and Albanian license plates.

The decision comes in implementation of the agreement between the Governments of Kosovo and Albania, for the passage of vehicles and passengers between the two countries without border controls.

The Morina border crossing is expected to implement this agreement from the early hours of May 1, while the decision will be in force at least until September of this year.
