Three international contemporary architecture studios have presented their projects for the construction of the new Flamurtari stadium in Vlora. It is about the 3 architectural studios FUKSAS (Italy), OPPENHEIM Architecture (USA & Switzerland) and XDGA (Belgium). Each of them presented the project for the new Vlora stadium for 25 minutes.
In its presentation, the Italian architectural studio FUKSAS emphasized the stadium as a multifunctional center.
"The stadium as a multifunctional center, our idea is that the complete functioning of the architecture for the stadium is a place that can be used throughout the week. The back part can be used in a braided way and have a public function, football fields, bars. This area should be revitalized".
"Oppenheim Architecture" studios in collaboration with "Commonsense" were second in line in the presentation of the project, where what stood out was the construction of towers on both sides of the stadium.
"Having the towers on both sides and building another big one where the stadium is and it will give the stadium its own space. We take our approach to an open space beyond the parameters of a sports stadium, creating space and other sports fields, swimming pools and sports functions".
The last to present the project was the Belgian studio XDGA in collaboration with CMA Ltd. + Bollinger&Grohman Sarl. According to her, the stadium will be a combination of functions in relation to the existing buildings.
"The complete stadium with all the programs is not an iconic object and football castle, but a combination of functions in relation to the existing buildings. Three levels of buildings that make a whole. The first is the stadium, the second is the training ground and sports fields and a structure around it, an elevated promenade. We will offer a service alley, a development and above it circulation for pedestrians".
A few days ago, the winning projects for the construction of the Korça and Durrës stadiums were also announced, while the Prime Minister announced that the construction of the "Selman Stërmasi" stadium in Tirana will soon begin.
