The execution of the "Shqiponja" police officer in the village of Baltëz in Fier is suspected to have happened for blood feud.

The victim is 28-year-old Novruz Cenalia, originally from Tropoja. He was shot as he was wearing his police uniform and was on his way to take up his duties.

While the author has been identified as 23-year-old Asllan (Azgan) Mërnica, and has already been announced as a wanted man as numerous forces of FNSH and RENEA have been put in pursuit of him.

Asllan Cenalia, the victim's father, is said to have been a policeman in Has and then moved to Fier. In Has, a few years ago, he allegedly killed the citizen Sali Harhulla.

The general director of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, has also left urgently for Fier.
