Two young people were injured with a knife this Thursday evening in Tirana.

The incident happened in front of a pastry shop in the New Ring area.

According to the police, the cause was a conflict for weak motives, between the two injured and another person.

The injured, aged 18 and 20, were taken to the hospital and are under the care of doctors. Meanwhile, the police continue their work to catch the suspected perpetrator of the incident.

"On 19.09.2024, around 10:50 p.m., in front of a pastry shop on Kashari boulevard, in the New Ring, during a conflict for weak motives, citizens ED, 18 years old, and EM, about 20, were allegedly injured with cutting tools years old. The two injured have been sent to the hospital and are under the care of doctors, while the work of the Police continues to catch the suspected perpetrator. The investigative team is at the scene and is working to clarify its circumstances," the police said in a press release.
