A 20-year-old Indonesian citizen, Ayu Putri , has been handcuffed by the blue uniforms of Police Station No. 1 in Tirana , after being accused of the criminal offense of infanticide.
It is learned that the young woman had arrived in Albania a few months ago from Indonesia, along with some of her friends, with whom she lived in a rented apartment in the capital.
They were employed as cleaners in various businesses.
Investigations have revealed that Ayu Putri was approximately five months pregnant at the time of her arrival in Albania.
About two months ago, she gave birth to the baby, but then left it abandoned on the balcony of the apartment where she lived.
During the eighth month of pregnancy, the young woman is suspected of experiencing severe episodes of stress.
After the birth, her friends noticed the situation and notified the apartment owner, who then notified the authorities.
The baby was rushed to the hospital, but despite medical assistance, he could not survive.
In the initial phase, due to the circumstances and condition of the mother, the criminal proceedings were pursued in a free state.
However, following the Court's decision, a restraining order was issued and the 20-year-old was arrested.
