The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports, Blendi Gonxhja, has announced that the National Council for Material Cultural Heritage has declared the city of Delvina an immovable cultural asset, in the "Urban Architectural Ensemble" category.
The decision comes within the framework of assessing the special historical, architectural and urban significance that the city carries, while simultaneously aiming to protect, preserve, conserve and promote its cultural heritage.
According to Minister Gonxhja, this new status is not only symbolic, but also a concrete step towards strengthening the historical and cultural identity of Delvina. At the same time, it paves the way for the further development of cultural tourism and the promotion of restoration interventions in the area.
The proclamation also aims to raise public awareness of the importance of cultural heritage as a valuable national asset.
