National Bureau of Investigation agents landed on Tuesday morning in the Kodra e Dielit area in Tirana, in an operation that sources from the Special Prosecution Office claim is underway.

The controls were carried out as part of an investigation that SPAK has launched for more than a year under suspicion of tender abuse at the National Agency for the Information Society.

Sources claim that 11 procurement procedures are under investigation, for which the special prosecution suspects violations of equality in tenders and other abuses.

Several security measures have been issued as part of this operation. 'House arrest' has been imposed on citizen MK and prison arrest on citizens with the initials EA and EB.

The action is still ongoing and it is expected in the coming hours that SPAK will issue an official statement regarding these checks and the specific file it is investigating.
