US Embassy in Tirana

The US Embassy in Tirana shared this Sunday evening, a statement from the State Department, which urges its citizens around the world to be cautious regarding the tense situation in the Middle East.

"The State Department advises Americans around the world, and particularly in the Middle East, to exercise increased caution.

"Americans abroad should follow the instructions in security advisories issued by the nearest United States embassy or consulate. Periodic airspace closures may cause travel disruptions," the statement said.

According to the State Department, U.S. diplomatic facilities, including those outside the Middle East, "have been targeted. Iran-backed groups may target other U.S. interests abroad or countries affiliated with the United States and/or Americans around the world."
