The city of Kavaja was shocked today by the news that a 15-year-old girl had been abused by her father for several years. The latter was immediately detained by law enforcement, while the incident is under investigation.

The girl, who is a 9-year-old student of the Golem school, had spoken with the psychologist of this school, Edona Kollçaku.

While the girl's mother also denied the accusations to the police. She stated that it is unlikely that her husband, a citizen with the initials BR, abused the girl.

The girl has stated that her father has forced her to have sex during the last 4 years, while the last time this happened was a year ago.

During today's day, the girl was brought from Golemi to Durrës for medical examinations, but she refused.

The 48-year-old was also sent to the hospital in Durrës, where he is undergoing examinations for mental problems.
