Alone in the race, Armand Duka secures a 7th term at the head of the Albanian Football Federation.
In the General Electoral Assembly, this time the Duke had no rival, even a formal one; no one preferred to rival him by granting him another four-year mandate.
Of the 48 members with voting rights in this Assembly, 48 of them voted in favor of the sole candidate, Armand Duka.
Voting was open, as the Duke was the only candidate.
In fact, this has become a trend in the world of football, where recently even Alexandar Ceferin, the president of UEFA, was the only one in the race. Also, a few days ago, Agim Ademi was elected head of the Football Federation of Kosovo as the only one in the race, receiving 100% of the votes.
For the first time, Armand Duka was elected president of the Albanian Football Federation in 2002. After 24 years at the helm of the AFF, Duka secures another mandate, his 7th as president.
