A 70-year-old woman who makes a lot of money stripping for men on OnlyFans says her daughter hasn't spoken to her in years.
Instead of stretching her legs and enjoying retirement, Michelle Hardenbrook has to keep working to take care of her disabled son.
She joined OnlyFans in January 2020 and earned £30,000 in her first month. Having lived in poverty most of her life, Michelle is thrilled with her success, but it has come with consequences.
To the Daily Star, she says: I have a great sense of achievement, but the worst part for me is that I can't tell people I know and share my success with them.
"My family hasn't spoken to me in years. If I told them about it, I would reinforce their opinion that 'Michelle is just weird. I'm not weird and I know it. There are not many women over the age of 60 who do this kind of work.
If you look at the age categories on OnlyFans, you'll find that the majority of people are in their 20s, and people are under the impression that that's the only age group that should be doing this,” Michelle said.
Michelle, who certainly doesn't lack a sense of humour, added: I'm proud of my success. I feel like I finally found what I do best. I never knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. When you get to be in your late 50s and still don't know, it's very depressing.
Raising her two children was a challenge, there was not enough money. After losing her job at the age of 56, she turned to sexting to pay her bills.
This eventually led to OnlyFans. She takes care of her son who became disabled at the age of 35 due to a weak heart condition.
But her son and daughter, now 48 and 45, have different opinions about their mother.
Michelle said: My son is aware of this and he agrees. I have always been very open with my children about my sexuality. They knew I masturbated, but certainly never in front of them.
They were aware that I kept condoms in the fridge in case they were sexually active, just to be safe.
So I was open with my kids, but my daughter hasn't spoken to me in 20 years. I'm sure if she found out what I'm doing now, she'd have more reason not to talk to me because in her mind every bad thing in her life that's happened is because of me, but it is absolutely the opposite. My son says if it wasn't for me he would be dead.
Despite having a strained relationship with her family, Michelle has no regrets about the work she is doing now.
