
New details have emerged regarding the armed attack recorded this Tuesday morning in Turkey. The perpetrator of the attack has been identified as Omer Ket. According to reports, he was a former student of the school where the attack took place, leaving 16 people injured.
It is learned that he had posted a message on his Instagram account before the attack, which read: "Get ready, there will be an attack on this school in a few days, get ready."
After the serious act, the perpetrator took his own life. The incident took place at a high school in Siverek, Sanl?urfa. Students and teachers were injured in the attack, and a large number of medical personnel and police special operations were sent to the area.
A witness stated that the attacker, described as 18-19 years old, initially opened fire in the schoolyard before entering the school and continuing to shoot.
"He was 17 or 18 years old. As soon as he came in the front door, he pulled out his long-barreled gun. He started shooting left and right and towards the school. Then he went inside the school and started shooting. I heard the students screaming as he shot at everyone he came across. Then the police arrived," he said.
A statement from the Interior Ministry said that among the injured were 10 students, 4 teachers, 1 police officer and 1 cafeteria worker.
